I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Ewha Womans University. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science at Duke University in 2020 with a specialization in comparative politics and political institutions. My research and teaching interests include comparative political institutions, judicial politics, autocracy and democracy, and political economy of institutions. I have worked as a visiting researcher at the Humboldt University of Berlin and Seoul National University. In addition to my Ph.D., I hold an M.A. in Political Science at Duke University and an M.A. (International Relations) and a B.A. (Political Science) at Seoul National University.
